The Skipp Pearson Jazz Foundation in keeping with it stated mission is pleased to host the fourth (4th) annual National Jazz Appreciation Month (NJAM) in South Carolina beginning Tuesday, April 1 through Wednesday, April 30, 2014.
All programming for National Jazz Appreciation Month in South Carolina have been specially designed to build a greater appreciation for live jazz music performances and to foster the continued development of “public jazz music education”.
April 2014 theme: The World of George Gershwin of Jazz literally offers something for everyone from a book discussions, film presentations, live jazz music performances, poetry readings, a Visual Arts Exhibition, special guest artists and much, much more. This month-long celebration of jazz music begins on Tuesday, April 1 at Le Café Jazz, 930 Laurel Street, 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm and features the amazing talents of the best musicians in Jazz Town…U.S.A., Columbia, South Carolina.

Le Café Jazz is an indoor and outdoor cafe with a design resembling the famous French cafes of the 1920s and 1930s, created by the non-profit Skipp Pearson Jazz Foundation (visit their website here).
